Fun watching sheepdogs! Loved watching Mo work the sheep. Excellent demonstration and wonderful hospitality. Loved learning about the different breeds of sheep.

The experience was brilliant! This was an amazing experience to learn about sheep herding and working border collies. Martin gives a bit of history of the land and fabulous demonstration.

A SHEEPDOG NAMED MOE Third generation farmer, Martin Feeney, gave our group of 40 an insightful, educational and entertaining demonstration of his life with Border Collie, Moe. Martin has an easy-going style that imparts and demonstrates information in a sensible and understandable manner. This was a highlight of my tour and I highly recommend it.

Very cool experience with knowledgeable, friendly, sheep farmers Some people may find this hard to believe, but a true highlight of our 12 day trip through Ireland! I had seen people recommend sheepdog demonstrations on a Facebook group and kept it in the back of my mind, trying to figure out if I could find a space in our itinerary. Thank goodness I did! I know there are other sheep farmers in Ireland, also giving demonstrations, but Atlantic Sheepdogs for us, was an awesome experience! Martin and his wife Trish, were easy to communicate with on Facebook and very hospitable when we arrived. They have well behaved children who were adorable to interact with. Martin travels internationally with his border collies to compete with them and therefore, they are extremely well trained. His presentation was interesting in terms of the history of sheep farming and explaining the challenges of keeping tabs on your flock when the sheep truly go everywhere, they just cannot be contained, fences be damned!He uses a dog whistle to issue commands to his dogs and they are excited to do what they have been bred to do! It was fascinating to watch and learn. Most importantly, when traveling with older teens, it got them excited after 8 days of long drives and strenuous hikes to all the spectacular scenery that exists in Ireland. Of course, the icing on the cake was the opportunity to hold a lamb, and Martin was very keen to the fact that as soon as he brought it out, he had lost my 19 yo daughter and knew if he gave it to her to hold first, she would not have listened to a word he was saying! Great presentation, people, dogs, sheep and experience! I highly recommend this farm and this family if you are in the area!

Incredible experience learning about the life of sheepdogs and life in Ireland! Absolutely wonderful experience at the Atlantic Sheepdogs near Sligo! Thank you Mark and Mo for teaching us so much about sheep farming, dog herding and life in Ireland.Such a fantastic demonstration. I love dogs 🐶 and sheep 🐑 so this was so great learning about your life’s work. If you are touring this area of Ireland 🇮🇪 it is an absolute must-see!What a fun day and it was beautiful too. If only we could use a few calls like we learned in parenting 😉 hmmm

Fantastic!! How much I learned during this visit. And the opportunity to see a dog working and controlling the movement of sheep at the command of the handler was superb.

Great fun! Such a fun experience to see how a sheepdog works. Martin was very informative and his dog Moe was amazing to watch. I highly recommend this activity.

Unforgettable experience Martin and his dog, Moe, are truly an unforgettable experience!! It was so interesting to listen to Martin talk about the generations in his family who have run the sheep farm and hear about how it used to be and some of the advances that have come over the years, including the sheep dogs. Which brings me to Moe. An incredible dog who is a champion Irish sheep dog. He is beautiful, focused, and you can tell he just loves his “job”! It was a joy to watch him work with the sheep and we even got to hold a 2 day old lamb!! 😍 Highly recommend!! So glad it was part of our Connect the Dots tour!

Awesome experience! What a wonderful experience! Martin and Moe have the most beautiful connection - she is such a clever girl. We loved the demonstration and enjoyed hearing about the history of using dogs to herd sheep. Martin’s enthusiasm and passion for his work absolutely shone through - loved every minute, thankyou 😊
